No Starbucks coffee or any other coffee franchise here in Kos Greece. Yet it’s a cold (12 degrees) gray day, and I was in need of a very strong hot cup of coffee! Nothing else to do here basically…
Turkish coffee
Greek coffee, cal it what you want, but it looks like this:

Coffee service here today included a spoon, as much sugar as you want and a glass of water. Normally you can specify your coffee: no sugar, medium sugar (1 teaspoon) or a lot of sugar (that’s exactly how I want my coffee: bitter sweet!, like the weather here…)
This is not an espresso from a coffee machine, but it’s the good old way of coffee making : roasted coffee bean, finely ground, normally cooked in a copper or more recently stainless steel little pot with a good handle to poor your brew (in a few goes) in an espresso cup: coffee grind included.
As far as I asked and understood the waiter: you need 1 to 2 teaspoons of grinded coffee for 250 ml (1 cup) of coffee. I guess mine was with 2 teaspoons of coffee
If you are a true coffee fan, you keep on stirring when you drink your coffee, I prefer to leave the grinded beans in the espresso cup.

So TheSkinnyCook is in Greece. I was invited by relatives who ventured all the way to Kos Island in Greece.
I am on a personal discovery tour to find delicious Greek food. Like always when traveling in an unknown place, I
"eat where the crowd eats".
Yet there is no crowd here in Kos as it is now off tourist season, Kos is kind of death. I now understand why my relatives didn’t invite me during the tourist season, as they are focused then on making lots of money, kind of to make it through the much too silent winter. Nobody except me travels to Kos
now it seems….
Which Greek food?
Do you know the name of the above Greek food picture? If you know any Greek food recipe that suits the above picture, leave a comment

Dogs are like humans in the sense that they have their own personal preference when it comes to dog food. The only difference with humans is that dogs have 5 times less taste buts than we do, so less salt and less sugar is needed when feeding your pet.
The best dog food recipe has been added to the homemade pet food recipes of Dog Treat Cookbooks : a site about recipes for dog treats found in dog treat cookbooks.
