The beach on Kos is an interesting tourist attraction: you can hire a chair as those on the right and get skin cancer thanks to the high dose of sun rays that are creeping through an ever diminishing ozone layer.
But don’t let your appetite for the unspoiled Kos beach water stop you… According to a very old Kos tourist guide he is proud to say that the Kos sewerage is now flowing into the sea 8 km away from Kos, so … euhm… that proves that the water at the beach on Kos is as fresh as the water in the bottle you are now drinking out… ???
Anyway, the weather these days is far more cool than in Athens and soonest I am not more needed in the kitchen, I am going to take a real holiday crossing the border to Bodrum, Turkey

The highlight of my day these days happens to be in the late afternoon: after the lunch cleaning up and midday-break and just before rush-hour dinner time. It’s around “now” that I go out and have a cup of authentic Greek coffee.
For the purists amongst us: Greek coffee is as Greek as French fries is French. In the first case, the Turkish will want to make a claim, and in the latter, the Belgians want to state they invented the French fries…
Oh, I just love watching people strolling by and sipping my dark cup of coffee: the coffee powder used has been pounded from coffee bean until they have a consistency of flour.
So once you get your Greek coffee it’s all about letting it rest and sink to the bottom. And that’s exactly my what I
intend to do with my state of mind: let it rest and sink all daily life troubles and worries to the bottom…

Euhm… I guess the good old fashion way…
Yet to my utter amazement there is a well in Kos when you drink the water, you become pregnant. I did visit this well, yet since I don’t need any more kids, I stayed well away from the well
In fact I was more interested in the hibiscus tree blooming over the well… Yes, I took an organized tour around Kos yesterday. Quite an easy and cheap way to cover vast parts of the little Kos Island, just the down-part of an organized bus tour is the lack of good food and the lack of "off the beaten track" places to visit.
On the other hand I did pass lots of little restaurants that could be promising when it comes to good old fashion Greek cuisine
