This peach smoothie recipe combines the taste of fresh peaches but uses the needed sourness of yogurt and since it was available: a sour orange: again a very healthy fruit smoothie recipe.

Be aware the some peaches don’t have much taste when you buy them, so mixing the peaches with other fruit can result in the other fruit overshadowing the peach taste.

  • 5 fluid ounces (150 ml) white, plain yogurt
  • 3 + 1/2 ounce ice cubes (100 gr) (12 small ice cubes)
  • 2 fluid ounce (60 ml) orange juice (from 1 small sour orange)
  • 1 ounce (30 gr) brown sugar (6 teaspoons)

  1. Place the peach, yogurt, orange, sugar and yogurt in the cup of an electric blender, milkshake maker or food processor and blend until smooth.
  2. Taste your smoothie. If you smoothie is not sweet enough: add more sugar. If your smoothie is too sweet, add more orange juice and mix your smoothie one more time.

When there are a lot of cherries available, you can make this healthy fresh cherry smoothie recipe with only cherries as the fruit of your choice! The consistency is not overly thick, but the taste is amazingly delicious.

  • 10 drops vanilla-extract

  • 250 gram strawberries
  • 175 gram yoghurt with 1.5% fat
  • 125 ml freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
  • 4 ice cubes

For garnish:

  • 2 long thin wooden skewers
  • 2 sprigs fresh mint tips (if available)

How to make an orange smoothie

Fills 2 glasses of about 250 ml (half a pint), make sure all ingredients come straight out of the fridge.

  1. Wash the strawberries, remove the green stems, keep two berries aside for decoration to the side and quarter the rest.

How to make a strawberry banana smoothie

To make a very thick creamy smoothie, use frozen strawberries and frozen banana pieces. Banana is ideal to freeze in (after peeling) when you bought a bunch and can’t consume them fast enough.

We do recommend using a real smoothie maker when using frozen fruit or ice cubes. If a normal blender is used, do crush the ice first in a kitchen towel by e.g beating it up with a wooden rolling pin.

  1. Peel the banana, remove the green stalks of the strawberries and put all ingredients in the jug of your blender or smoothie maker.
  2. Blend until smooth and taste. If not sweet enough, add your favorite sugar (start with 1 tablespoon), mix and taste again.

If you want a thinner strawberry banana yogurt smoothie, use less ice, don’t freeze your fruits or add more milk.

  • 2 1/4 cups (550 ml) orange juice
